Our fresh fruits include apples, peaches, nectarines, plums, pluots, pears, pie cherries, grapes, berries and tomatoes. With multiple varieties of each, our customers get the freshest, most flavorful assortment that we can possibly offer.

Along with fresh products, we also offer a line of tasty dried fruit containing no additives. Some of our fruit is made into jams, syrups, sauces, juice and whatever else we might think of. You never know what you might find, so keep in touch!

Our apple cider is naturally sweet and tangy! In the fall, with apple picking in full swing, we press fresh apple cider each week. Jam and syrup are made with our own ripe fruit. We use more fruit and less sugar than most, so you really taste the fruit!

Fresh Fruits & Berries


Below is a list of the products we grow over the course of the warm seasons. Product availability changes with the weather and the season.

Pie Cherries

Harvest usually begins in early July.  U-pick and picked.

Peaches

All of these peach varieties taste great! They are juicy and delicious when picked ripe. All of them can be eaten fresh, cooked, canned, dried or frozen. The following are some notable qualities about each variety and their approximate timeframe for 2025.  Each of these peach, nectarine and plum varieties normally ripen over a period of 10-14 days.

Springcrest- July 14 None

Very early peach with good peach flavor. Small to medium clingstone. Hardly the best peach of the season, but still a treat for early summer.

PF-13- August 1 Good supply
Excellent first of the season peach! Great for fresh eating. Good for canning and freezing. Medium to large size. Semi-freestone. Also Redhaven

Coralstar - August 12 Big crop
Great for fresh eating. Popular for canning and freezing. Smooth texture. Large size. Freestone. Similar varieties in our orchard: PF 19, PF 24, Glohaven.

Gene Elberta - August 12 Big crop
Sweet, superb flavor. Great for canning, freezing and fresh eating. Winner of the Kelley family taste test narrowly edging out standard Elberta for best canned peach. Similar to Elberta in texture and size, freestone when fully ripe, but sometimes clings. Medium size. 

Blushingstar - August 12 Good crop
Sweet and tangy white flesh. Very good fresh and dried. Medium size fruit. Freestone.

Elberta - August 25 Big crop
Long time favorite for canning. Easy to peel. Also wonderful for freezing and jam. Beautiful yellow flesh. Smooth texture. Medium size. Freestone. Early Improved is yellow with red blush. Standard is more greenish with blush and a few days later.

Hale - August 25 Big crop
Great for fresh eating. Popular for canning and freezing. Firm texture. Large round fruit. Freestone. Similar varieties in our orchards, Forty Niner.

O’Henry - September 8 Big crop
Exceptional flavor. Wonderful for fresh eating. Good for canning and freezing. Nice firm texture. Medium size. Freestone. Good keeper. Last of the season!



Nectarines

Very good crop this year. These are all great for fresh eating. Try canning or drying the freestones.

Firebright - August 1
Extreme flavor! Tangy. Great for eating fresh, jam and pies. Medium size. Semi-freestone.

Grand Sweet - August 16
Super sweet mild flavor. Great for eating fresh. Medium size. Clingstone.

Arctic Jay - August 17
Excellent white flesh nectarine. Great for eating fresh and drying Medium size. Freestone.

Fantasia - August 22
Great traditional flavor. Outstanding for eating fresh. Good for canning/cooking. Medium size. Freestone. 

Autumn Flare - August 22
Outstanding flavor which rivals Fantasia This is a clingstone which means this nectarine is difficult to slice or process so just plan to eat it out of hand. Tends to hold up very well in storage.

 


 

Plumbs & Plouts

A good crop this year with some damage due to early summer hail.  Good size.

Santa Rosa Plum - August 1

This variety developed by Luther Burbank over a century ago has that classic delicious sweet and tangy plum flavor. Medium size.

Black Amber Plum - August 10 Dark purple skin with sweet mild fruit. Medium size.

Dapple Jack Pluot - August 20 Good crop
Delicious sweet flavor. Great for fresh eating, drying, jam.  Medium size.

Catalina Plum - August 24 Good crop
Very good flavor. Great for fresh eating. Wonderful dried! Medium size.

Flavor King Pluot - September 5 Good crop
The King of Flavor. Sweet and tangy with a Santa Rosa plum flavor. Great for eating fresh. Good for drying and jam. Medium size. Freestone. 

Dapple Dandy Pluot - September 12 Good crop
Delicious Tangy-sweet flavor. Great for eating fresh. Wonderful dried or for jam. Medium size.

Flavor Grenade Pluot - September 15 Good crop
Very sweet. Slightly crunchy, yet juicy with a flavor that explodes in your mouth!

Elephant Heart Plum - September 22
Greenish, heart-shaped tangy plum. Deep red inside. Medium size.

Angelino Plum - October 7
Good for eating fresh. Firm texture. Medium size.


 

Pears

Pears come in a wide range of shapes colors and flavors.  You will see some of these interesting varieties in the Barn from August through October.  Ripening pears can be tricky, but in general, set them out at room temperature and look for a little softening at the neck and other subtle signs like color and aroma.  

Morettini - August 12
Sweet, juicy, yellow when ripe.

Sunrise - August 26 Good crop
Sweet, juicy, yellow when ripe.  Slightly sweeter than Bartlett when canned and dried.

Bartlett - September 1 Very few.
Sweet, juicy, yellow when ripe. The standard for canning.

Magness - September 12
Very sweet, mild flavor. Non-gritty.  Greenish, russeted appearance.

Blakes Pride - September 12
Sweet, juicy very good pear flavor. Yellow when ripe.

Harrow Sweet - September 26 Good crop
Very sweet and juicy.  Long skinny neck, ripe when starting to turn yellow.  Stores well into winter.

D'Anjou - October 1
Great pear to save in refrigeration up to
Thanksgiving. Light green when ripe.


 

Apples

Very large crop of apples. Some damage from early summer hail.
All of these apple varieties are suitable for cooking, fresh eating, and juice. Each apple has its own unique characteristics and the following are some notable qualities.  Beginning Picking dates and (last date of availability from cold storage) are listed below.

Lodi - July 12

Zestar! - August 10
Delicious sweet-tart flavor.  Light, crisp texture.

Ginger Gold - August 10
Sweet, firm, dense.

Sansa - August 17
Sweet, fruity flavor. Similar appearance to Gala

Gala - August 23

Jonamac - September 510
Very similar to McIntosh, but sweeter and milder. Excellent for pie and applesauce. Good for eating fresh.

Honeycrisp - September 10
Super fresh eating and drying apple.

McIntosh - September 19 (October 1) Very few
Unique tart flavor. Excellent for pie and applesauce. Cooks into a smooth sauce. Good for eating fresh. Medium size. Good keeper, but texture softens after 1 or 2 weeks.

Sunrise Fuji- September 19  An early Fuji variety with excellent Fuji flavor and texture. This is the one to eat in the fall while you wait for standard Fuji which you can store all winter.

Jonathan - September 21   (October 31)
Tart flavor. Crisp white juicy flesh. A long-time favorite for cooking. Also wonderful for juice. Medium size. Stays crisp for about two weeks.

Golden Delicious - September 19 (December 15)
Sweet flavor, light crisp texture. Great for fresh eating. Popular for applesauce. Medium size. Good keeper.

Jonagold - September 19 (December 15)
Nice blend of sweet and tart flavors. Crisp and very juicy. Great for fresh eating. Good for cooking. Large size. Stays crisp for a month.

Empire - September 26   (October 31)
This McIntosh-Red Delicious cross is a nice sweet, mild eating apple. Makes smooth applesauce much like McIntosh, but milder and sweeter. Medium size.

Red Delicious - October 1
Sweet, mild flavor. Ours is an old-fashioned variety with less color and more flavor. Good for fresh eating. Good for applesauce and juice. Medium size. Not the best keeper.

Rome - October 1
Slightly tart mild flavor. Good for eating fresh. Wonderful for baked apples! Makes smooth mild applesauce. Large size. Easy to pick.

Mutsu - October 1
Sweet, juicy and delicious. Large.

Winesap - October 15
Very firm, flavorful heirloom apple. 

Fuji - October 17
Our most popular apple. Very sweet flavor. Dense crisp texture. Fantastic for eating fresh and dried. Good for juice. Medium size. Excellent keeper. Stays crisp for months.

Granny Smith - October 17
Very tart flavor. Nice firm texture. Exceptional for eating fresh, if you like a tart apple. A favorite for pies. Good for juice, applesauce and drying. Large size. Good keeper.

EverCrisp - October 17
Very sweet and crisp. Best keeping apple we grow.

GoldRush - October 17 Very few
Firm, dense, crisp apple. Very tart when picked, but becomes sweeter in storage. Great keeper.
